The St. Martin Tourism Office currently has no director since Corinne Picaut quit her job recently. Although her walkout was widely known the circumstances surrounding her sudden departure have not been revealed. However, sources indicate they are related to disagreements with President Ida Zin Ka Ieu but neither party is willing to talk. It is understood Picaut is being paid until her contract ends in August at which time it will not be renewed, sources said. Picaut was appointed Director of the Tourism Office in July 2009.
