Synopsis: Expect available low level moisture to combine with local effects to induce a passing isolated shower across the islands. A relatively
drier air mass is expected to move across the Northeastern Caribbean tonight which will result in lesser shower development during the next few
days. Otherwise, subtropical ridge will dominate the region through midweek with moderate trades to prevail into next week.
Sea conditions: Moderate with waves oscillating between 3 to 5 feet.
Tropical weather systems: Late this morning tropical storm Igor formed in the far Eastern Tropical Atlantic. At 5 PM local time the center of Igor
was located at about 13.9N and 23.9W about 75 miles South Southwest of Praia in the Cape Verde Islands. With maximum winds near the
center of 45 miles per hour it is moving towards the West at 6 miles per hour. The Meteorological Service of the NA & A will monitor the progress
