St. Maarten vacations
PHILIPSBURG--The Website everythingstmaarten.com is celebrating reaching 1.5 million site visits by giving away six weeks of St. Maarten vacations, most of them in the next several days. In a press release, Jeff Berger, owner of the everythingstmaarten.com and
everythingstmartin.com Websites said the sites would give away St. Maarten/St. Martin vacations and more than a dozen gourmet dinners, island sails and other prizes as part of the celebration.
The top prizes are five St. Maarten vacations at island resorts, with two weeks on the island going to the grand prize winner.
“The site was started accidentally,” noted Berger of JMB Communications, the company that started the Websites in 1995. Berger, who heads a marketing agency in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, said he had posted a brief story about St. Maarten on his business Website in 1996 as one of many writing samples.
“When the search engines kicked in, off it went. We initially had perhaps two dozen hits a week, but now we’re getting thousands a week. The site has a significant impact on the St. Maarten and St. Martin businesses it mentions.”
The Websites contain an abundance of island information of interest to tourists and are updated daily.
