ICP, Spontaneous to perform
at G-Vibes this Saturday
PHILIPSBURG--Innocent Crew Production (ICP), the gospel rap group from Nfluence Records, and a new positive dancehall artist Spontaneous are among the line-up of local artistes who will perform in Gospel Vibes (G-Vibes) at the Philipsburg Community and Cultural Center this Saturday, October 14.
Others are Nfluence Records artistes DJ Bookie and Ricardo Mardenbrough, Geno with a poetry performance and new gospel artiste Joshua Ferrol. R&B gospel artiste of Cross Movement Records in Philadelphia J.R. will be the guest artiste.
These artistes will be performing in between music mixes by DJ Fresh of Boston who will be in St. Maarten for the first time. The seating in the cultural center will be removed, providing a dance floor for patrons.
The event starts at 7:00pm. Admission is NAf. 10 or US $6. Tickets are available at Family Bookstore, Chill Out in Le Grande Marché and In the Zone Gaming at Plaza 21. The ticket price at the door is the same.
Spontaneous said persons could expect a really good positive vibe at the event. He will do more than one song he said, depending on the “vibe” he gets from the crowd.
Spontaneous had a previous stage name “Maasta J” and was known in secular circles, but has decided to do mainly gospel and positive music. He changed his name from Maasta J because that name was previously used by artistes in the U.S. and in the Caribbean.
G-Vibes is a Christian club scene party where contemporary gospel music will be mixed and played by DJ Fresh, providing an opportunity for patrons to dance to positive music. The environment for the event will be void of drugs and alcohol, according to Altertainment. G-Vibes is sponsored by Telcell, Divi Little Bay Resorts, Ruby’s Unique Fashion and F.W. Vlaun and Son.
