Kadaster new member of
Henderson pension plan
PHILIPSBURG--The St. Maarten Kadaster is now a member of a pension plan brokered by Henderson Insurances.
A press release issued by Henderson Insurances said the plan provided each employee the possibility of receiving a maximum of 70 per cent of his or her monthly salary on reaching the age of 60. The monthly payout will be made to the employee for the rest of his or her life.
Reaching the maximum of 70 per cent depends on the date of enrolment in the plan. Younger employees have a greater chance, as they will be contributing to the fund longer, while it will be the opposite for the older employees. The employees now have another source of retirement income in addition to the Government old age pension of approximately NAf. 655 monthly.
Henderson Insurances reached agreement for this plan with the board and management of the Kadaster late last year. Erik Dolle in his capacity of Managing Director signed the documents to finalise the plan. The pension plan took effect retroactive to January 1.
