Four months behind bars
for violent Haitian man
MARIGOT--A Haitian man will have to spend a minimum of four months in prison for a history of aggressive behaviour towards his wife and a deliberate attempt to either injure or kill her, the Gendarmerie reported.
The man D.P.C (32) was arrested on Wednesday evening May 2 after he had deliberately tried to injure or kill his wife while she was driving her car. Earlier, the woman had alerted the Gendarmerie about his violent and abusive behaviour towards her, and DP C found out that she had reported him to the Gendarmerie.
He immediately left his job where he was working as a security guard and drove to her house where he found her leaving in her car. DP C rammed her car head-on at the front. The head-on collision left both cars damaged but neither driver was hurt.
