Videos of students having sex in
classroom being spread via phones

~ Academy principal shocked ~
PHILIPSBURG--Fights among local students that were uploaded on video-sharing Website YouTube and transmitted via mobile phones may be considered mild compared to the videos that are currently being spread around the island on cellular phones.

Three videos - SP Suck I, II and III – are being transmitted via mobile phone technology Blue Tooth.

One of the videos shows a male and a female student, both in uniform, apparently having sexual intercourse on what appears to be a desk. Another shows a female student apparently performing oral sex on several boys. The third shows students in sexual activity with a blackboard visible in the background.

This latest development has shocked Academy principal Solange Duncan who confirmed that she had seen the videos about a week ago. She said several Academy officials had met in an effort to identify the students, but the faces were not identifiable, as the footage had been taken on a mobile phone.

She acknowledged that one of the students in the video clearly had on a shirt bearing a St. Maarten Academy emblem, but said it could not be ascertained whether the student was from the PSVE or Academic section.

She said the school was trying to identify the students, to inform their parents of their behaviour.

She said several students had had the videos on their mobile phones up to last week.

“We are still trying to find out who took the video, where it was taken and in which classroom,” she said, referring to the video in which a blackboard was visible in the background.

“Of course this concerns me,” she said when asked to comment on this latest development. “When I saw it I was shocked. What would parents think knowing they are sending their kids to school and seeing their kids involved in this type of activity in class?

“Parents have to talk seriously with their children, because I cannot believe that a child would expose him- or herself to this type of recording. Parents have to teach their children values and teach them when to use the phone and for what purpose.”

She said she was particularly concerned about the female student in uniform who was having oral sex with several boys, thereby exposing herself to sexually transmitted diseases.

She said should the identity of the students be known, their parents would be contacted. She also stated that teachers would be more vigilant.
