Road resurfacing work
begins on French side
MARIGOT--Motorists will soon be experiencing more comfortable driving conditions on the French side, as a major road resurfacing project funded by the Regional Council gets under way.
The first phase is resurfacing of the RN7 between Friars Bay and La Savane towards Grand Case. A second phase will concentrate on resurfacing between La Savane, Grand Case and out to the French Cul-de-Sac intersection.
Road works are taking place at night and both of these phases are expected to be completed before the start of the new school year.
Rue Hollande, the main road entering Marigot from the Cole Bay direction, will also be resurfaced as will the main road in French Quarter.
The company SOGETRA is carrying out the road works for Région Guadeloupe.
