Offensive hate Website
removed from Internet

POINTE BLANCHE--A highly offensive Website created by white supremacist Bodo Muth that depicted St. Maarten as a den of hateful, angry and racist people who live through a culture of crime and corruption has been removed from the Internet.

The site, which had resurfaced a few weeks ago, was removed through the intervention of local company Secure Tech International.

“When a hate site attacking a society is discovered on the Internet, it leaves the society and the relevant authorities in a very vulnerable position. Due to the nature of the Internet and freedom of speech laws, relevant authorities are left with a very serious problem which they are not usually equipped to undertake,” explained Gregory Richardson, CEO of Secure Tech International, the network security company that voluntarily represented the island and convinced Homestead.com to remove the hate site.

“As soon as we were informed, we dealt directly with the host to remove the site, which was infringing on American law and, most important, posing a serious threat to our island’s billion-dollar tourism economy,” Gregory Richardson said.

He also stated, “Due to a new wave of Internet and network threats and the vulnerability of small islands like St. Maarten, more and more companies and government bodies are becoming aware of the need for network security.”
