Police find stolen bag
after Robbie’s holdup
COLE BAY--Police found a shoulder bag belonging to one of five victims that had been dropped following the armed robbery of Robbie’s Lottery in Cole Bay on Thursday, the police reported on Friday.
Two masked men stormed the establishment and demanded money from the women working the “number booth” at the time, threatening them with a knife if they did not comply. The booth cashier handed over the day’s take, while the rest of the women involved relinquished their personal belongings, including bags, money and cell phones, to the bandits.
Apparently the bandits dropped the bag during their escape and the police Special Robbery Unit will be using it to assist in their investigations.
