Man found dead in
his St. John’s home

SABA--Many on Saba were shocked Tuesday morning to have learned the sad news of the passing away of Francois Antoine “Twonny” Richardson. Richardson was found dead at his home in St. John’s by one of the tenants of his daughter’s apartment complex.

Richardson was well known for his construction skills. At the time of his passing he was busy completing the construction of his daughter’s apartment complex in St. John’s just opposite Sacred Heart School.

Richardson was last seen by many of his friends on Easter Sunday at one of his famous hangouts on the island.

The cause of his death is not yet known, but in the meantime the Prosecutor’s Office has confiscated the body. Members of the Technical Department of the Police Force of St. Maarten flew over on Tuesday afternoon to investigate the matter.

Daughter Jolet Richardson arrived on the island Tuesday morning after hearing of the death of her beloved father.

Funeral arrangements will be made once the body has been handed over to the family. It is expected that the funeral service will take place on St. Maarten.

The late Richardson was 66 years old. He leaves to mourn his children and his many friends on Saba.
