Taxi board to receive
official notice to resign
PHILIPSBURG--An official notice will be delivered to Dutch St. Maarten Taxi Association (DSTA) executive board members today demanding their resignation within seven days, as called for in a petition signed by eighty association members Sunday.
The notice, signed by association members Ottis Hughes and Jose Marlin, also stipulates that all official documents in the possession of the board must be handed over.
It also informs the board, headed by Clyde Hook, that failure to comply with the resignation request within the stipulated time will result in legal action.
DSTA members want the board to demit office because they are unhappy with Hook’s and the board’s functioning.
Hook has also been slammed by members with allegations that he uses his office to further his “private company” Hook Up Services.
