PHILIPSBURG--Two armed bandits robbed a Front Street jewellery store of several pieces of expensive merchandise before disappearing up the street Saturday afternoon.

FRENCH QUARTER--Maître Harry Durimel, the lawyer who is representing Eugène Brouta, the injured victim of an identity control that went awry ten days ago, is considering suing the three Gendarmes involved in the incident, but says any case brought against the Gendarmes will have more chance of a successful outcome if supported by a committee or association formed specifically for the purpose.
