Auxiliary police
taking exams

PHILIPSBURG--About forty candidates who began a training course to become auxiliary police officers several months ago have completed their coursework and are taking exams.

The Daily Herald understands the exams will cover all of the training that has been carried out by a third-party entity to make these men and women officers and they are expected to have their results in within the next two months.

Another course administered by the police academy will make the auxiliary officers actual police officers with the rank of constable (agent). Auxiliary officers are police on the way to becoming full-fledged officers, and usually assist ranked officers.
