PHILIPSBURG--A no-show by utilities company GEBE Managing Director William Brooks, the company’s Commercial Manager Steve Duzanson and its attorney did not prevent a planned Supervisory Board of Directors meeting from going ahead on Saturday.

Turtles coming ashore
to nest, vigilance urged
GUANA BAY--A female sea turtle, guided by her instincts, comes ashore on Guana Bay Beach to make a nest and secure her clutch of eggs during a bright moonlit night. Sea turtles are known for returning to the same beach where they were spawned, so this one was returning home.

PHILIPSBURG--Senior citizens turned out in numbers to walk for a healthier lifestyle in the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) walk-a-thon on Sunday morning. Health Commissioner Maria Buncamper-Molanus and former acting Lt. Governor Mathias Voges were among the large band of participants.
