Dear Editor,
I recently read an article regarding NuStar's open day to explain to the general public the proposed plan for the terminal expansion, and I have to say I was shocked.
Since when has journalism become so blatantly biased? This was not an article regarding the afternoon activities, along with interviews of some of the plant's top people. This was a tirade by somebody, and I can't even use the word journalist here, with an obvious grudge against the company.
Journalism, or it certainly was when I was in school, is supposed to be an impartial account of the facts as they exist. As editor of this paper, I can't believe you allowed this kind of drivel to be published. Whatever happened to journalistic ethics? As a journalist, you should be both ashamed and embarrassed by this clear lack of objectivity. Perhaps you should start putting by-lines on your articles, because at least these so-called journalists would no longer be able to hide behind the anonymity your paper freely offers these people.
And because I am not afraid to give my name, and I don't need to hide behind my words.
