Dear Queenie,
My husband goes to a dinner meeting almost every week and he usually brings home part of the meal in a "doggy bag." The problem is that he won't share what he brings home. He says it is part of his meal that he didn't eat and has nothing to do with me.
This food is not the kind of thing we eat at home and I would really appreciate the treat, but he won't let me touch it.
Queenie, is this fair?—Hungry just thinking about it
Dear Hungry,
Of course it's not fair. It's selfish and rude. In fact, it seems downright cruel.
However, it's not worth getting upset about. Instead, on the nights your husband goes out to dinner without you, why not order some special take-out treat, or arrange to go out yourself, alone or with some friends?
And if you happen to have leftovers and your husband expects you to share them with him, tell him you will trade for part of his "doggy bag."
