Two advisers earn close to G$16M annually

Gail_Odinga258 GEORGETOWN, Guyana--Two advisers to President Bharrat Jagdeo together earn a monthly salary of more that G$1.3 million – close to G$16 million annually.

In a written response to a question posed by Alliance for Change Member of Parliament, Sheila Holder, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds stated during Thursday's sitting of the National Assembly that Presidential Adviser on Governance Gail Teixeira earns a monthly salary of G$800,962 and Presidential Adviser on Empowerment Odinga Lumumba earns G$516,457 per month.

The figures translate to Teixeira earning some G$9,611,544 annually, while Lumumba earns approximately G$6,197,484 annually. - Stabroek News
