Kiss and make up is long-marriage recipe

Couple_Kiss025BRIDGETOWN, Barbados--Kiss and make up.

That is the remedy for having a long marriage, says 77-year-old Joyce Alleyne, who celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with husband Fitz Herbert Alleyne, 74, at the St Lucy Parish Church on Sunday - the same church where they were married on June 11, 1960.

Joyce said during the marriage there were several periods of "ups and downs", but "what we do is kiss and make up. If you want it to last that is what you do," she said, laughing. Daily Nation
