ANGUILLA--Shara Proctor is continuing her winning streak as last weekend she was named the South Eastern Conference (SEC) Women's Field Athlete of the Year.
She recently claimed the SEC individual title in both the long jump and triple jump season. She ranks second in the United States in both the long jump (6.67m/) and the triple jump (13.88m). She leads the SEC and ranks second in the U.S. in both events.
Proctor also became the first athlete in the University of Florida school history to claim both the long jump and triple jump indoor championships in the same season.
She has recorded NCAA automatic qualifying marks in every meet in which she has competed this season and is a candidate for the Bowerman, track and field's highest honour.
