MULLET BAY--The St. Maarten Golf Association will host the 18th St. Maarten Open April 17 and 18. Golfers from around the region and some more distant places like Canada, England and Denmark will match their skill on the greens of Mullet Bay.
The Open kicks off on Friday with registration at Mullet Bay and a cocktail Party at the Opium Room in Tantra in the evening and wraps up with a prize giving bash Sunda at Sopranos Piano Bar.
The Open is a sponsored event and the proceeds are used to help support community organizations. In the past donations have been made to the St. Maarten Medical Center, the L.C. Fleming Hospital, I Can foundation and to the St. Maarten Golf Association Junior Golf program, which teaches kids the basics of the game in a free after school program.
