ST. EUSTATIUS--Jailen Henriquez scored six goals and team mate Amaru Pryce was good for three more as the St. Eustatius Golden Rockers age nine to 11 soccer team blasted past St. Maarten 11-2 at the Statia Cruyff Court. Adding one goal each to the winning tally were Naihla Schmidt and Jeremiah Malone.
"All players from this group are training now for three years and improved a lot during that time," said Wilma van Zoest, President, Statia Youth Soccer Programme Foundation.
St. Maarten, led by coach Nickie Owen, fielded two teams. In the age six to nine group St. Maarten won 2-1. Xyon Rivers scored the lone goal for the Golden Rockers.
"Seeing the fact that six out of seven players only started with soccer this season they did a wonderful job," said van Zoest.
