PHILIPSBURG--Paradise Inn and Sheriff Security Strikers both scored 7-2 decisive victories in the St. Maarten Futsal Association Competition at L.B. Scott Sports Auditorium Sunday.
Paradise Inn clobbered Flames United while Sheriff Security shot past NAGICO Fun Makers.
Damion Scafe netted a hat trick for Paradise. He was assisted by Lloyd Baley who scored twice and Lindsay Montcherry and Dacosta Douglas who were both good for one goal. Troy Morris and Andrew Williams scored for Flames.
Loen Brown scored four goals as he led Sheriff Security to victory. Team mates Dave Makenzie, Dillian Mitchell and Palmer Cohen each added one goal to the winning tally. Fun Makers Rodney Romney and Basil Wong scored for the Fun Makers.
Internacional squeezed past Emile Photo in a high scoring shoot out that ended 7-5. Alexander Carchidi netted three balls for Internacional while Julien Rizzo and Camou Olivere each scored twice.
Chance Christopher and Rudy Noslen each found the back of the net twice for the Photo team. Miracle Samuel also scored once for Photo.
Sandro Garcia scored twice as RISC Takers powered past NAGICO United Football Club 6-3 after the game was 2-2 at the break. RISC Takers had a balanced attack as Norbert Graves, Harry Kerssies, Martijn Schaap and Jeroen van Dorrestijn all scored once for the win. Jackson Anson, Stewart Ryan and Bristal Kirt netted balls for NAGICO United.
A hat trick by Kevin Hajarie helped C&D Connection short circuit Telstar 5-4. Steve Hartley and Morgan Hopeton added one goal each to C&D's side of the scoreboard. Andre Kartonidjojo and UnRieke Spier hit doubles in the losing effort.
Futsal continues with five games on tap Sunday. First kick off starts at 2:00pm as Telstar takes on Veendam.
